VTOT Named a recipient of Venture Global Engineering Foundation Golf Outing
The Veterans Tribute of Oakland Township is excited to promote the 5th annual Venture Global Engineering (VGE) Foundation Golf Outing. This wonderful event raises funds for many charitable and non-profit organizations each year. This year, the VTOT is proud to have been selected as one of the organizations eligible to receive donations from the VGE Foundation.
We encourage everyone to participate and to name the VTOT as your supported charitable organization. Supporters can sponsor a foursome, sign up to golf, make a donation, and / or participate in a raffle. The VTOT is donating three engraved brick pavers as raffle prizes for the event.
The event will be held on July 21, 2018 at the Wyndgate Country Club, 1975 E Gunn Rd, Oakland Twp, Michigan 48306

Foundations Take Shape!
The foundation for the services panels has been poured and the layout of the tribute is beginning to take shape. As the weather improves this spring, construction will move ahead. We Still Need Your Help! Any and all contributions are appreciated, we are still short of our fundraising goal. Recognize a veterans service with a tribute brick, or make a donation. With your help we can drive to completion, and launch with our dedication in July!
VTOT Site Work Begins
The site preparation work has begun. Thanks to all of the sponsors and donors who have made this possible!
Race to the Finish
After more than 18 months of planning and hard work, we are in a Race to the Finish to raise enough funds to build the Tribute in spring 2018. After raising just nearly $2.1M in donations and donated services & materials, we need just under $200K in donations between now and the spring. There are several ways to help:
- Make a donation through the website: Small, medium or large are welcome and appreciated!
- Purchase an engraved brick paver to honor a Veteran or a unit. You can order a paver on the website. These pavers will be installed during construction for permanent recognition.
- Become a major donor, or "Tribute Sponsor" and sponsor a specific element of the Tribute such as a stone bench or glass Military Service Panel. Tribute Sponsors will be recognized on the Donor Recognition Stand at the entrance to the site. If you are interested in learning about this option, please contact the VTOT Director, Mr. Tim Reese at Timreese2011@comcast.net
