Veterans Day

The Board of the Veterans Tribute of Oakland Township wishes to express our profound gratitude to every Veteran, past and present, for their patriotism and military service. We hope that today everyone will take a moment to thank a Veteran whom they know for their service to our great country – in person or by visiting the Tribute for a silent reflection at the names inscribed on the honorary brick pavers. Freedom is not Free!

Inaugural Memorial Day Parade

Residents and Veterans honored Fallen Service Members with the 2019 Memorial Day Parade and Commemoration that concluded at the VTOT site. A WWII B25 Marauder Bomber from the Yankee Air Museum made three wonderful flyovers during the parade. This inaugural event was such a great success that the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce has already begun planning for the 2020 Memorial Day Parade!

Click Here to Order Your Tribute Brick Today!

You can find your paver's location in the "Find My Paver" search tool.

We have completed the Fall Installation of engraved pavers at the Tribute. We are in the process of loading the images to the 'Find My Paver' tool.
Thank you for honoring a Veteran with a Paver and we hope you can get to the Tribute soon to see the new pavers.

New orders received by March 1st, 2020 will be installed by Memorial Day 2020.

Help Support the Tribute

  • Volunteers Needed: The VTOT is seeking two new members to join our volunteer staff. We are looking for a Webmaster and a Brick Paver Coordinator. Our webmaster posts pictures and other information to the website to keep it current, and manages the “Find Your Paver” tool on the webpage. Our paver coordinator tracks orders for engraved brick pavers during the year, and twice a year submits an order to the paver engraver to get them made. Both positions involve some calls, emails and the occasional monthly meeting. If you have a few hours each month and would like to donate your time in support of Veterans and the VTOT project, please contact Board Members Tim Reese (timreese2011@comcast.net) or Terry Gonser (carnusse@aol.com). These are fun and rewarding positions!

Interested in using the Tribute site for your civic or patriotic event?

  • The Tribute site is available for your patriotic or civic event outside of Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veteran's Day. Reservations are available up to six months in advance, and are subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Please use the Usage Form to request a date for your event.
