2025 VTOT Sporting Clays Classic

Thank you to all who attended our 3rd annual VTOT Sporting Clays Classic!

Thanks to all the folks who attended our 3rd Annual Sporting Clays Classic on Friday, May 16th. We had over 151 participants come out to lend their support to the Veterans Tribute. The Sporting Clays and the Showdown competitions were literally a “blast.”

Congratulations to our top two teams – Team Tallman and Rewold & Sons. And congratulations to our top three individual shooters – Phil Auger, Dave Pilsaki, & Duane Truscott.

The team at MISHOOT provided outstanding support as always. We raised enough money to cover the next 18 months of operating expenses and enough to make a substantial donation to our Endowment Fund.

And here is a special Thank You & Shout Out to our event sponsors: Mr. Terry Gonser, Trilogy Inc, Artemis Search Group, Wilshire Benefits Group, Alliance Sales, JR Automation, Grandview Construction, Fives-Cinetics, ALRO Steel, Mr. Joe Aeillo, Mr. Steve Tallman, the Moceri Companies, and Tunkers North America.

We look forward to hosting the event in May 2026 to make it an even bigger success. Continue to follow us for the details. Thank you again!

2023 Veterans Day Ceremony

Thank You for Joining Us
on Veterans Day 2023

The VTOT Board wishes to thank to Congresswoman Lisa McClain (the US House Representative for the Michigan 9th District), all our Guests, all the attendees and especially, ALL OF THE VETERANS who came out November 11th for what was a fantastic Veterans Day Ceremony!

VTOT Fall Flowers and Landscaping

The VTOT site is looking superb today thanks to the generous and dedicated efforts of a team from Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 (MWSS-471) out of Selfridge ARNG Base. Under the direction of Gunny Dan Love, the Marines spruced up our landscape and planted our fall flowers in record time. The VTOT Board wishes to give them a huge salute of gratitude. SEMPER FI!

VTOT Dedicates the US Coast Guard Panel

On Monday, August 21st, the Veterans Tribute Board held a ceremony to officially dedicated the U.S. Coast Guard glass service panel. The panel was dedicated in honor of Petty Officer Christopher J. Mayer, a local resident who is on active duty with the USCG. He was on leave and home in Michigan to visit his family who attended the ceremony with him. It was inspirational for everyone in attendance to see and talk to this young man who is proudly serving his country.  He exemplifies the Coast Guard motto of “Semper Paratus!” – Always Ready!

The VTOT Board also wishes to express their immense gratitude to local businessman Terry Bishop and his wife LeighAnn who became the official sponsors of the USCG Panel.  This is the second service panel the couple has sponsored since 2018.  Their amazing generosity will make a significant contribution to the VTOT Endowment that funds the improvement and maintenance of the Tribute grounds.
