Calling All Patriots!

You are invited to the 4th annual VTOT Sporting Clays Classic.

Join us for a day of fun, prizes, food and drinks on Friday, May 15th, 2026.

The event will be held at the Bald Mountain Shooting Range, 2500 Kern Rd, Lake Orion.

All proceeds will go to the non-profit VTOT for use in finishing construction, maintaining and improving the most beautiful Tribute to our Armed Forces in all of Michigan.

The event continues to grow in size and fun. We improved our “game” in 2025 with better food, drinks, and prizes – and in 2026 we will do the same with more and better prizes.  We hosted 148 Shooters in 2025 and will max out the event at 160 Shooters in 2026, so sign up now before all the spots are taken!

Bring your own gun and gear. Shells (50) are included in the registration cost. Ear and eye protection will be provided, if needed.

  • This year we have two optional competitions that will get your adrenaline flowing;  And we will run them starting at 10:30am, prior to the start of the main event.  In addition to the competitions and prizes, both events will be a great warm up for Sporting Clays.
    • 4-Person Teams will be able to sign up for the “VTOT Showdown” Competition at the Five Stand Hut. Teams will compete to break as many clays as they can when 40 clays are sequentially & rapidly launched in 60 seconds.
    • The Long Bird Competition will be new in 2026 – compete with 5 shells to hit one or more of 3 clays launched at long rage from an Executive Stand and be entered into a prize drawing. 
  • Sporting Clays prizes will be awarded for the 1st and 2nd place Individual Sporting Clays Shooters, and the 1st and 2nd Place 4-Person Sporting Clays Teams.
  • Shooters breaking a white clay during on the Sporting Clays course will be entered into the White Clay prize drawing at the end of the day.
  • The VTOT will also be selling raffle tickets at different price points for several types of firearms provided by the Bald Mountain Gun Store.
  • Every participant will be entered into several Door Prize drawings as well.
  • In addition to the raffles, the VTOT will also auction off a donated firearm.

Returning again is this exciting event for 4-person teams; $250 per team. Each shooter gets a box of shells for the Team to simultaneously engage 40 targets that are rapidly launched from the 5-Stand Hut in 60 seconds. Team coordination for targets and quick reloading are the keys to this “mad minute!” Prizes go to each member of the winning team. This event will take place starting at 1030 and prior to lunch and the main Sporting Clays competition.

Test your long-range shooting ability with the new VTOT Long Bird Competition. $20 buys a Shooter shells for 5 shots to hit one or more of 3 clays launched at long range from an Executive Clays Stand near the covered pavilion and be entered into a prize drawing. Sign up online for as many rounds as you wish, or buy one round online and buy additional rounds at the event. This event will also take place starting at 1030 and prior to lunch and the main Sporting Clays competition
